2022 Dodge Charger: The Dodge Charger remains unchanged for 2022, with a new Jailbreak trim and security alarm system being the only changes. Charger is a large car that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door sedan. Competitors include the Nissan Maxima and Toyota Camry. High-performance and widebody variants are available.
Six trims are offered: SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye. Five engine choices are offered: 3.6-liter V6 that makes 303 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 that makes 372 horsepower, a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 horsepower, a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 717 horsepower, and a high-performance supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 797 horsepower. Two transmissions are offered: A 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic.
The range-topping model of the Charger lineup is the SRT Hellcat Redeye model, which features the same engine once used int he Dodge SRT Demon. It's also equipped with Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, special shock tuning, and tech features like line-lock and launch control for drag racing. Pricing ranges from $31,000 to $85,000.
