2022 Dodge Challenger: The Dodge Challenger remains unchanged for 2022, with a new Jailbreak trim and security alarm system being the only changes. Challenger is a sports car that seats 4 passengers and is only available as a 2-door coupe. Competitors include the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. High-performance and widebody variants are available.
Seven trims are offered: SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye, SRT Super Stock. Six engine choices are offered: 3.6-liter V6 that makes 303 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 that makes 372 horsepower, a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 horsepower, a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 717 horsepower, a high-performance supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 797 horsepower, and a high-performance variant of that engine that makes 807 horsepower. Two transmissions are offered: A 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic.
The range-topping model of the Challenger lineup is the SRT Super Stock model, which features a Hellcat engine that makes 807 horsepower and is essentially a street-legal drag racer. It's also equipped with Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, special shock tuning for drag radial tires, and tech features like line-lock and launch control for drag racing. It is the world's quickest and most powerful muscle car, according to Dodge. Pricing ranges from $30,000 to $85,000.
