2020 Toyota Tacoma: The 2020 Toyota Tacoma is a 5-seat midsize pickup truck. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Honda Ridgeline, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Ford Ranger. For 2020 it sees the addition of new a new grille and new technology. A new TRD Pro off-road variant is also available.
There are two engines offered: A 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 159-horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 with 278 horsepower. The 4-cylinder is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and the V6 is available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 6,400 pounds.
There are six trim levels available: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro. There are two cab types available: Access and Double. Available features include a power moonroof, skid plates, power sliding rear window, air conditioning, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, USB, Bluetooth, navigation, satellite radio and infotainment. Safety features include rearview camera, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, front and rear park assist sonar and blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
New features for 2020 include Toyota Safety Sense standard on all trims, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new LED lights, a 7-inch touchscreen, two additional USB ports, an available off-road air intake, JBL Audio and a moonroof.
