2019 Toyota Tacoma: The 2019 Toyota Tacoma is a 5-seat midsize pickup truck. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Honda Ridgeline, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Ford Ranger. For 2019, it sees the addition of new tech and safety features.
There are two engines offered: A 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 159-horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 with 278 horsepower. The 4-cylinder is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and the V6 is available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 6,400 pounds.
There are six trim levels available: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro. There are two cab types available: Access and Double. Available features include a power moonroof, skid plates, power sliding rear window, air conditioning, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, USB, Bluetooth, navigation, satellite radio and infotainment. Safety features include rearview camera, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, front and rear park assist sonar and blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
New features for 2019 include Toyota Safety Sense standard on all trims, two additional USB ports, an available off-road air intake, JBL Audio and a moonroof.
