2019 Subaru Outback: The 2019 Subaru Outback is a 5-seat car that's only available as a 4-door wagon. Only all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Audi Allroad, Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, and Mini Clubman. For 2019 it sees the addition of new tech and safety features.
There are two engines available: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 175 horsepower and a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder that makes 256 horsepower. Both mate to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 20 mpg city to 32 mpg highway.
There are six different trims: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited and 3.6R Touring. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, USB, heated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, leather seats, moonroof and dual-zone automatic climate control. Safety features include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning and pre-collision braking.
New features for 2019 include a 6.5-inch multimedia system standard and EyeSight driver assist suite of safety features standard.
