2019 Mazda CX-5: The 2019 Mazda CX-5 is a 5-seat car that's only available as a 4-door wagon. Front- and all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Escape. For 2019 the CX-5 sees the addition of a range-topping Signature trim, an optional turbocharged engine, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There are two engines available: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 187 horsepower and a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 227 horsepower (250 with premium fuel). Both engines pair to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
There are five trims available: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation system, head-up display, premium audio, leather seats, USB, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, power liftgate and power sunroof. Safety features include rearview camera, radar cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, brake support and lane-keep assist.
New features for 2019 include a range-topping trim, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, G-Vectoring Control Plus and a new 2.5-liter turbocharged engine.
