2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport:
The 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a 5-seat luxury SUV. Only four-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90. For 2019 it sees the addition of a plug-in hybrid variant and new safety and off-roading tech.
There are five different engines available: A 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that makes 340 horsepower, a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel that makes 254 horsepower, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that makes 380 horsepower, a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that makes 518 horsepower, and a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that makes 575 horsepower. All pair to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid variant offers an estimated electric driving range of 31 miles.
There are five different trims available: SE, HSE, HSE with Dynamic Package, SVR, and Autobiography. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, tri-zone climate control, power moonroof, cruise control, navigation, Bluetooth, USB, infotainment system and satellite radio. Safety features include stability control, traction control, rear-view camera, blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic detection, autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and dual-front and front-side and side-curtain airbags.
New features for 2019 include a new wade sensing system to aid in water crossings while off-roading, adaptive cruise control with steering assist.
