2019 Hyundai Ioniq: The 2019 Hyundai Ioniq is a 5-seat car that's only available as a 4-door sedan. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Chevrolet Bolt, Bolt EV, Toyota Prius and Prius Prime. The Ioniq range includes a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric variants. For 2019, all Ioniq models remain unchanged.
Two engines are offered: A hybrid 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor that produces 139 total system horsepower and an electric motor that makes 120 horsepower. The hybrids use a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the electric variant has a single-speed transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 55 mpg city to 59 mpg highway. The electric Ioniq has a battery range of 124 miles.
There are three trims available: Blue, SEL and Limited. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, BlueLink connectivity system, USB, wireless charging, navigation system, sunroof, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, etc. Safety features include rearview camera, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, smart cruise control and lane-departure warning.
