
2019 GMC Terrain: The 2019 GMC Terrain is a 5-seat compact crossover that's only available as a 4-door wagon. Front- and all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Rogue and Toyota RAV4. For 2019, it sees the addition of a Black Edition trim.
There are three available engines: A 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower, a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 252 horsepower, and a 1.6-liter diesel 4-cylinder engine that makes 137 horsepower. The gas engines pair to a 9-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel pairs to a 6-speed automatic. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 21 mpg city to 38 mpg highway.
There are three trims offered: SLE, SLT and Denali. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, moonroof, infotainment system, premium audio, navigation, power liftgate, heated steering wheel and leather seats. Safety features include 360-degree camera, forward-collision alert, low-speed forward automatic braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, lane-change alert, blind-spot alert, rear cross-traffic alert, teen-driver monitoring, rear park assist and rear-view camera.
