2019 Ford Edge: The 2019 Ford Edge is a 5-seat mid-size crossover that's only offered as a 4-door wagon. Front- and all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Chevrolet Equinox, Kia Sorento, Toyota 4Runner, Honda CR-V and Nissan Murano. For 2019, the Edge gets a new refreshed exterior design, a suite of active safety features standard, a new 8-speed automatic transmission and a sporty ST trim.
There are two different engines available: A 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower and a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that produces 335 horsepower in the ST trim. Both engines pair to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated fuel-economy ranges from 17 mpg city to 29 mpg highway.
The 2019 Ford Edge is available in four trims: SE, SEL, Titanium and ST. Features include Ford's Sync3 multimedia system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, navigation, USB, Bluetooth, satellite radio and adaptive steering. Safety features include blind-spot monitoring, stability control, front camera and collision warning with brake support.
New features for 2019 include LED headlights, a rotary gear shifter, automatic braking, lane-keeping system, automatic high beams, lane centering and Waze navigation.
