2019 Dodge Charger: The 2019 Dodge Charger is a 5-seat car that's only available as a 4-door sedan. Rear-and all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala, Ford Fusion and Nissan Maxima. For 2019, the Chargers sees new updates to its high-performance variants, while all models get new cloth-appointed seats and new wheel and exterior color options.
There are four different engines available: A 3.6-liter V6 that makes 292 horsepower, a 5.7-liter V8 that makes 370 horsepower, a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 horsepower and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that makes 707 horsepower. All engines pair with eight-speed automatic transmissions. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 13 mpg city to 30 mpg highway.
There are six different trims available: SXT, SXT AWD, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat. Features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, premium audio, USB ports, satellite radio, Bluetooth, navigation system and remote start. Safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rearview camera and park assist.
New features for 2019 include a new performance grille for SRT models that allows more air into the engine, new line-lock features, and Demon-derived after-run chiller to cool the engine.
