2019 Dodge Challenger: The 2019 Dodge Challenger is a performance-oriented 4-seat sports car that's only available as a 2-door coupe. Rear- and all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. For 2019, the Challenger sees the addition of a more powerful Hellcat Redeye variant, plus all models receive new, optional wheel designs and exterior paint colors.
The Challenger is available with five engines: A 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 that makes 375 horsepower (372 with automatic transmission), a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 horsepower, a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 717 horsepower, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that makes 797 horsepower in the Hellcat Redeye. Two transmissions are offered: A 6-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 14 mpg city to 30 mpg highway.
The Challenger is available in eight trim levels: SXT, SXT AWD, GT, GT AWD, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye. Features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, performance-brake packages, performance-exhaust system, shaker hood scoop, rear spoiler, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, remote start, heated steering wheel, leather seats, heated/cooled front seats, Bluetooth, satellite radio, USB ports, navigation system, premium audio and adaptive cruise control. Safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, forward-collision warning, rear-view camera and rear parking assist.
New for 2019 is a Hellcat Redeye variant that produces 797 horsepower and can do 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 204 mph.
