2019 BMW X5: The 2019 BMW X5 is a 5-seat luxury car that's only offered as a 4-door wagon. Only all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Acura MDX, Lexus RX, Jaguar F-Pace and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class. The X5 is all-new inside and out for 2019.
Two different engines are offered: A 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder that makes 335 horsepower and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that makes 456 horsepower. Both mate to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive system can also operate as rear-wheel-drive in certain scenarios to improve fuel economy.
The 2019 X5 is offered in two different trims: X5 xDrive 40i and X5 xDrive 50i. Available features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, USB, panoramic moonroof, heated front seats, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, head-up display, Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless charging. Available safety features include blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking, 360-degree camera and backup camera with rear-cross traffic alert.
For 2019 the X5 features a longer, wider, and taller body along with all-new exterior and interior design. Both engines have been upgraded in power and all-wheel-drive is standard. A 12.3-inch touchscreen and a new digital gauge cluster are also new.
