2019 Acura MDX: The 2019 Acura MDX is a 6- or 7-passenger luxury crossover that's only available as a 4-door wagon. Front- and all-wheel drive models are offered. Competitors include the Infiniti QX60, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Volvo XC90. For 2019, the MDX sees updated interior styling, an expanded color palette and the addition of an A-Spec sport appearance package. A hybrid variant is also available.
Two engines are available: A 3.5-liter V6 that makes 290 horsepower and mates to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.0-liter hybrid V6 that makes 321 horsepower and mates to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and three electric motors. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 18 mpg city to 27 mpg highway for the 3.5-liter engine and 26 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for the hybrid.
The MDX is available in six trims: Base, Technology, Technology and Entertainment, Advance, Advance and Entertainment and A-Spec. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, power liftgate, keyless entry, push-button start, sunroof, heated front seats, heated rear seats, cooled front seats, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio, navigation system, and a variety of active safety features like collision-mitigation braking, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
