2018 Volkswagen Atlas: The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is a three-row, seven-passenger SUV that competes with the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer, and Honda Pilot. Following its 2017 debut, it remains unchanged for 2018.
The Atlas offers two different engines: A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 235 horsepower, and a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 276 horsepower. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and V6 models can be equipped with all-wheel drive.
There are ten trims available: S, S with 4Motion, Launch Edition, SE, SE with 4Motion, SE with Technology, SE with Tech and 4Motion, SEL, SEL with 4Motion, and SEL Premium with 4Motion. Available features include a customizable gauge cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, leather seating, heated and ventilated seats, power moonroof, keyless access, push-button start, navigation, and a premium audio system.
Available safety features include forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, park assist, post-collision braking system, and a standard suite of airbags.
