2018 Toyota Yaris iA: Formerly the Scion iA, this four-door subcompact sedan shares mechanical DNA with the Mazda 2. The Yaris iA competes most closely with the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Fiesta, and Kia Rio. It remains unchanged for 2018.
There's one engine available: A 1.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 106 horsepower. The iA is front-wheel drive, and buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 31 mpg city and 41 mpg highway (33/42 with automatic transmission).
The Yaris iA is sold as mono-spec, meaning that only one trim is available. Available features include air conditioning, remote keyless entry, push-button start, a seven-inch infotainment screen, cruise control, Pandora, Bluetooth, and USB port.
Available safety features include rearview camera, low-speed pre-collision system, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
