Toyota FT-4X Concept: The Toyota FT-4X is an off-road inspired concept vehicle that Toyota likes to describe as "ruggedly charming." The concept SUV prides itself on the fact that it can go anywhere, at any time, and it can do so in a simplistic and relaxed manner. It's designed for outdoor enthusiasts who want to dial up the excitement on their weekend getaways and their everyday mini-adventures alike.
The cabin of the FT-4X aims to please its occupants regardless of the environment they're in. It features a removable audio system, fully rotating vents to cool or heat items quickly while on expeditions, door handles that turn into handy water bottles, and clever storage features that can double as suitcases while on trips.
When it comes to exterior design, the FT-4X retains some the core elements found on the iconic Land Cruiser, with its horizontal integrated grille and short overhangs for maximum off-road capability. In the rear, the tailgate features an urban and outdoor mode, which dictates whether the tailgate opens sideways or upwards. Lastly, integrated GoPro action cameras in the side-mirrors record every second of the action while on the trails.
Toyota plans on releasing a new subcompact crossover in the next two years, but so far the FT-4X is just a concept.
