2018 Toyota Corolla: The 2018 Toyota Corolla marks the continuation of one of the longest-running nameplates in the automotive industry. The Corolla is a four-door, five-seat compact car that competes with the Ford Focus, Honda Civic, and Mazda 3. For 2018 it sees the addition of Toyota Safety Sense and a rearview camera as standard features.
The Corolla has two engines: A 1.8-liter four-cylinder that makes 132 horsepower and a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that makes 140 horsepower. The former is available with either a six-speed manual or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT) and the latter solely with a CVT. The Corolla is front-wheel drive and has EPA-estimated fuel economy is 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway for the six-speed manual, and 28/36 for the CVT. Furthermore, the more powerful four-cylinder delivers 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway.
Offered in L, LE, LE Eco, XLE, SE, and XSE trim, the Corolla offers such features as a rear spoiler, power moonroof, air conditioning, cruise control, USB port, keyless entry, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, infotainment system with app suite, and heated front seats.
