2018 Nissan Maxima: Billed as a four-door sports car, the 2018 Nissan Maxima straddles the line between being a large mid-size sedan and an entry-luxury sedan. As such, it competes with vehicles like the Ford Fusion and Honda Accord, but also with vehicles like the Chevrolet Impala and Toyota Avalon. For 2018 it sees the addition of Android Auto (Apple CarPlay was added in 2017), rear USB charge ports, and a revised exterior color palette.
The Maxima offers one engine: A 3.5-liter V6 that makes 300 horsepower and pairs with a continuously-variable automatic transmission. The Maxima has front-wheel drive, and EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
The Maxima is available in five trim levels: S, SV, SL, SR, and Platinum. Available convenience features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, power moonroof, premium audio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, navigation, USB, heated and cooled front seats, dual-zone climate control, intelligent cruise control, and remote keyless entry with push-button start.
Available safety features include a rearview camera, 360-degree camera, blind-spot warning, forward-collision warning, moving object detection, rear cross-traffic alert, predictive forward collision warning, attention alert, forward emergency braking, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
