2018 Nissan Armada: Unveiled at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, the 2018 Nissan Armada is a full-size, eight-seat SUV that competes with the Chevrolet Suburban, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition, and Toyota Sequoia. For 2018 it sees the addition of Nissan Connect services and additional USB ports as standard features. A new range-topping Platinum Reserve trim is also added to the lineup.
The Armada is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 that makes 390 horsepower and pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Armada is available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 14 mpg city/19 mpg city (13/18 for all-wheel drive). It has an 8,500-pound towing capacity.
The Armada is available in four different trims: SV, SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. Available features include power liftgate, fog lamps, moonroof, leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, heated second-row seats, premium audio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB, navigation, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, and rear-seat entertainment.
Available safety features include rearview camera, 360-degree camera, moving-object detection, distance-control assist, stability control, traction control, blind-spot warning, blind-spot intervention, backup-collision intervention, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking, lane-departure prevention, lane-departure warning, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
