2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class: The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class replaces the GL-Class. This seven-seat luxury SUV competes with vehicles such as the Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX 570, and GMC Yukon Denali. It remains unchanged for 2018.
The GLS-Class offers a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 362 horsepower, a twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter V8 that makes 449 horsepower, and a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 577 horsepower. The former two engines mate to a nine-speed automatic, while the latter pairs with a seven-speed automatic. The GLS-Class has all-wheel drive and EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers ranging from 13 mpg to 22 mpg highway.
There are three different trims available: GLS 450, GLS 550, and AMG GLS 63. Available features include leather upholstery, infotainment system, heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, power-folding third-row seats, rear entertainment system, ambient lighting, USB, premium audio, and navigation.
Available safety features include rearview camera, blind-spot assist, lane-keep assist, traction control, anti-lock brakes, automatic emergency braking, crosswind assist, stability control, and dual-front and side-curtain airbags.
