2018 Lexus GS: The 2018 Lexus GS is a mid-size sports sedan that is Lexus' answer to the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Cadillac CTS, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. This five-seater also offers a hybrid model and a high-performance version dubbed the GS F. For 2018 it sees the addition of new 19-inch wheel designs.
There are four available engines: A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 241 horsepower, a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 311 horsepower, a 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor with 338 total system horsepower, and a 5.0-liter V8 that makes 467 horsepower (GS F). The GS is offered as rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive vehicles use an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the AWD models feature a six-speed automatic. The hybrid variant is rear-wheel drive and has a continuously-variable automatic transmission.
The GS is offered in four different trims: GS 300, GS 350, GS 450h, and GS F. Available features include moonroof, leather trim, Bluetooth, infotainment system with apps, navigation, USB, premium audio, power rear sunshade, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, remote control of select vehicle functions via app, limited rear slip differential (GS 350 F Sport), and rear climate controls.
Available safety features include rearview camera, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and dual-front, front-side, rear-side, driver- and passenger-knee and front and rear side-curtain airbags.
