2018 Lexus ES: The 2018 Lexus ES is a mid-size entry-luxury sedan that is mechanically similar to the Toyota Camry. The five-seat sedan competes with vehicles such as the Audi A4, Buick LaCrosse, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. For 2018, the ES sees the addition of a free 10-year subscription to Lexus' concierge service, as well as Premier package which includes several comfort and safety features.
The ES is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 268 horsepower and it pairs to a six-speed automatic transmission. It is only offered as front-wheel drive, and it boasts an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. A hybrid version, dubbed 300h is available, and it combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor to make 200 combined system horsepower. It has a continuously-variable automatic transmission and EPA-estimated fuel-economy numbers of 40 mpg city and 39 mpg highway.
Available features include moonroof, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio, infotainment system with remote touch controller, navigation, panoramic roof, power sunshade, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, and remote control of select vehicle functions via app.
Available safety features include a rearview camera, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, anti-lock brakes, lane-departure alert, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, traction control, stability control, and dual-front, driver- and passenger-knee, front- and rear-side and front and rear side-curtain airbags.
