2024 Kia Niro: The Kia Niro remains unchanged for 2024 after debuting as an all-new model in 2023. The Niro is a compact car that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door hatchback. Competitors include the Honda HR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue Sport.

Seven trims are available: LX, EX, EX Touring, SX, EX PHEV, SX Touring, and SX PHEV. One engine is offered: A 1.6-liter 4-cylinder aided by an electric motor that produces 139 horsepower that pairs to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The same engine in the plug-in hybrid model offers up to 33 miles of electric driving range. The Niro EV is powered by a single electric motor that produces 201 horsepower and can travel up to 253 miles on a single charge, according to Kia. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered. Pricing ranges from $27,000 to $45,000.
