2018 Chevrolet Traverse: The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is a large mid-size crossover SUV that seats up to eight passengers and competes with the Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and new Volkswagen Atlas. For 2018, Traverse is completely redesigned and boasts a new interior and additional safety and convenience features, as well as two new trims.
There are two engines available: A 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 255 horsepower. Both pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission and will be offered with either front- or all-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for the V6, and 20/25 for the four-cylinder.
There are seven trims available: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country. Available convenience features include leather seats, power-fold third-row seats, USB ports in all three rows, infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging.
Safety features will include 360-degree camera, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, front-pedestrian braking, forward-collision warning, low- and high-speed forward automatic braking, and teen-driver monitoring.
