2018 BMW X1: One of many entries in the premium compact crossover class, the 2018 BMW X1 is a five-passenger vehicle that competes with the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX. The X1 carries over into 2018 with a backup camera and ConnectedDrive in-car concierge service now standard.
Available with front- or all-wheel drive, the X1 is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower and mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for front-wheel-drive models and 22/31 for all-wheel-drive models.
There are two available trims: xLine Design and Sport Designs. Available convenience features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, WiFi hotspot, power front seats, keyless access with push-button start, power tailgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, infotainment system, Bluetooth, premium audio, satellite radio, USB port, panoramic moonroof and head-up display.
