2017 Volkswagen Touareg: A mid-size SUV with a most unusual name and an upmarket price tag, the 2017 Volkswagen Touareg competes with the Audi Q7 and Honda Pilot. For 2017, the Touareg has minor equipment and trim-level changes. The four-door Touareg seats five passengers and offers V6 power and all-wheel drive.

A 3.6-liter engine that makes 280 horsepower is the sole powerplant, and it pairs to an eight-speed automatic transmission. As mentioned above, the Touareg is all-wheel drive, and EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

There are three trim levels - Sport with Technology, Wolfsburg, and Executive. Available features include sunroof, trailer hitch, fog lamps, power liftgate, keyless entry, heated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, leather seats, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, premium audio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, navigation, and infotainment system.
