2017 Subaru Impreza: The 2017 Subaru Impreza is a compact car that competes with vehicles such as the Kia Forte and Mazda 3. It's offered as either a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback and it seats five passengers. It also serves as the basis for the company's sporty WRX sedan, which is covered separately. For 2017, the Impreza has new looks, and it grows somewhat in size.
The Impreza is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 152 horsepower and pairs with either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). Like most Subarus, the Impreza has all-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel-economy numbers range from 27 mpg to 38 mpg highway in CVT models.
The Impreza is offered in base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trims. Available features include moonroof, premium audio, fog lights, navigation, and Bluetooth.
Available safety features include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-view camera, reverse automatic braking, and dual-front, front-side, driver's knee and side-curtain airbags.
The 2017 Subaru Impreza has a base price of $18,395.
