2017 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II

Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II: Poised at the very cutting edge of styling, performance, luxury, technology, connectivity and comfort is the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II.

The Ghost II was crafted with flowing 'yacht lines' and large uninterrupted surfaces, accented by the classic long hood, short overhang and powerful flanks. From the front, the eye is drawn towards the sculpted headlights and the tapered 'wake channel' on the hood, which arises from the Spirit of Ecstasy's wings. Chrome inserts at the front feed more air cooling to the front brakes while adding an elegant touch. These features are married with standard 19-inchor optional 21-inch forged wheels.

The Ghost Series II has a satellite-aided transmission that utilizes GPS data to allow the car to see beyond what the driver sees, anticipating their next move based on location and driving style. This instant data helps the eight-speed automatic transmission select the appropriate gear .

Power comes from a 563 horsepower 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. The V12 sends 575 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels, and the Ghost blasts from 0-to-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, topping off at a governed 155-mph.

The coach doors open to reveal an ultra-lux five-passenger cabin. The instrument dials and clock have polished metal chaplets around the dials that are meant to evoke the precision design of hand-made, luxury wrist watches, while chrome centers 'float'' in the middle of each instrument.

Available features include instrument panel veneers such asPaldao and Walnut Burr Crossband. Other available features include the aluminum/genuine wood instrument-panel insert, genuine wood door panel insert, leather/genuine wood console insert, chrome and aluminum interior accents, leather upholstered dashboard and aluminum overhead console insert.

Accessed through a one-touch call button or the Spirit of Ecstasy rotary controller, the on-board wi-fi facilitates access to email, file sharing, telephony and video-conferencing. The user is also able to watch televised business news. the trunk features tailored upholstery and offers 17.3 cubic feet. of luggage. The manufacturer suggested retail price begins north of $360,000.
