2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata: Also known as the Miata, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 is the latest version of the brand's iconic two-seat roadster, which made its original debut at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989. The MX-5 has few competitors, save for the Fiat 124 Spider, with which it shares a platform. For 2017, the big news is the addition of an available retractable hard top. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, previously optional, are now standard.

The MX-5 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 155 horsepower and pairs with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The MX-5 is rear-wheel drive and EPA-estimated fuel economy is listed at 27 mpg city and 36 mpg highway with the six-speed manual and 27/34 with the automatic.

Available features include premium audio, Bluetooth, infotainment, USB, satellite radio, navigation, Pandora streaming radio, and keyless entry.

Available safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and dual-front and front-side airbags.

The 2017 Mazda MX-5 has a base price of $31,555.
