2017 Lexus ES: The 2017 Lexus ES is a mid-size entry-luxury sedan that is mechanically similar to the Toyota Camry. The five-seat ES competes with vehicles such as the Audi A4, Buick Lacrosse, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. For 2017, a safety package that was previously optional is now standard.The ES is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 268 horsepower. It pairs to a six-speed automatic transmission and is front-wheel drive. The ES has EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. A hybrid version, dubbed 300h is available, and it combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor to make 200 combined system horsepower. It has a continuously-variable automatic transmission and EPA-estimated fuel-economy numbers of 40 mpg city and 39 mpg highway.Available features include moonroof, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio, infotainment system with remote touch controller, navigation, panoramic roof, power sunshade, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, and remote control of select vehicle functions via app.Available safety features include anti-lock brakes, rear-view camera, traction control, stability control, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, lane-departure alert, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and dual-front, driver- and passenger-knee, front- and rear-side and front and rear side-curtain airbags.The Lexus ES starts at $38,900, not including destination and dealer fees.
