Toyota Reveals New Tacoma, RAV4 Off-Road and Sequoia TRD Pro during the Chicago Auto Show Media Preview

CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2019) – Toyota unveiled a trio of new vehicles including the 2020 Toyota Tacoma, 2020 RAV4 Off-Road and 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro during the 2019 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview on Feb. 7.

Jack Hollis, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota division at Toyota Motor North America said “Clearly Toyota is no stranger to creating exceptional, off-road SUVs, and for 2020, we’re going to be completing our TRD Pro lineup.”

Highlights of the 2020 Toyota Tacoma – the brand’s best-selling midsize pickup 14 years running – include revised styling, expanded multimedia technology, added comfort and convenience features and additional off-road tech. On the interior, the Tacoma offers a new 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat. A new multimedia system now includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa compatibility. The SR will feature an upgraded 7-inch touchscreen, while SR5 grades and higher will feature a larger 8-inch touchscreen display. A new LED bed lamp is also available.

The 2020 RAV4 Off-Road heightens the best-selling vehicle in the Toyota lineup, the RAV4, with even better performance capabilities. The SUV will come standard with dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive, multi-terrain select, TRD-tuned suspension and a 3,500-lb. towing capacity. Exclusive to RAV4, TRD 18-inch black alloy wheels are paired with all-terrain tires designed by Falken. The RAV4 Off-Road also includes hill start assist control, trailer sway control and downhill assist control for on-road and off-road performance and safety.

The 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro is now more capable with TRD Pro upgrades such as Fox internal bypass shocks and TRD-tuned springs offering next level performance. Unique black badging, TRD-engineered parts, new TRD roof rack and black aluminum running boards top off the list of exterior upgrades.

The full TRD Pro lineup will be available in Midnight Black Metallic, Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic and the TRD Pro-exclusive Army Green.

All vehicles will be available later this year; pricing has yet to be announced.
