TOYOTA INTRODUCES 2018 TUNDRA AND SEQUOIA TRD SPORT MODELS AND 2018 RAV4 ADVENTURE AT 2017 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (Feb. 9, 2017) - Toyota unveiled the 2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport and Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport during the Chicago Auto Show Media Preview. The company also revealed its all-new 2018 RAV4 Adventure, a sporty update of the popular compact crossover that will appeal to weekend warriors.

The TRD Sport trim was designed and developed by the Toyota Racing Development experts to offer consumers more styling and performance than ever before on the full-size truck and large SUV. The trim package is aesthetic; varying from the lineup of TRD Pro trucks that are specifically made for off-roading.

The 2018 Tundra TRD Sport is powered by a 5.7-Liter i-Force V8 engine. It features 20-inch alloy silver sport wheels, color-keyed mirrors and bumpers, LED headlights with a smoked chrome bezel and a TRD Sport bedside graphic.

The 2018 Sequoia Sport TRD, also powered by a 5.7-Liter i-Force V8 engine, features a sportier look and feel with standard black fabric, black metallic mirror caps, darkened rear tail light housing and black satin TRD sport badging on the front doors. A TRD shift knob, floor mats and sill protectors complete the look.

Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of Toyota, was on hand to debut the new, sportier models.

"I love to see our trucks all over the world doing what they do best," said Fay. "Getting dirty. We make the toughest trucks in the industry, which is why our sales are up 52 percent over the last two years."

The new 2018 RAV4 Adventure, the perfect vehicle for consumers with an active lifestyle, comes standard with a Tow Prep Package, Trailer Sway Control and Hill-Start Assist Control and the Safety Sense-P suite of convenience and safety features. The exterior features 18-inch black alloy wheels, black headlight bezels and a black fog lamp. In the cabin, passengers will enjoy unique trim panels, a 120V/100W power outlet and all-weather floor mats with a custom Adventure logo.
The 2018 TRD models and the 2018 RAV4 Adventure will arrive on dealership lots beginning in September 2017.
