Teens or Seniors, who's more dangerous behind the wheel?

A recent post on blog called "The Auto Insurance" points out some very interesting statistics about young and old drivers. While elderly drivers are twice as likely to be at fault in an accident than teen drivers, teens are three times more likely to be killed in an accident.
For parents of teenage drivers, that last statistic is sobering, no doubt. The biggest take-away from is the fact that in fatal teen accidents it was found that 25% had a high blood alcohol level and 58% of them weren't wearing seatbelts. Also noteworthy were the causes of the teen accidents, which were most likely caused by fatigue, driving under the influence, sudden lane departure, reckless driving, speed, overcorrection or cell phone use.
So parents, sit down and show this study to your teenage drivers. The statistics don't lie.
