FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUBARU DEBUTS 2018 SUBARU LEGACY AT 2017 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW
CHICAGO (Feb. 10, 2017) - Subaru of America unveiled its all-new 2018 Subaru Legacy at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview. The midsize sedan is sportier, quieter and features significant upgrades in safety, comfort and technology for 2018.
The 2018 Subaru Legacy is available in two models: the 2.5i model is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine delivering 175 horsepower and a 3.6R featuring a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine capable of producing 256 horsepower. Subaru's all-wheel drive and active torque vectoring come standard across the Legacy lineup.
The new Legacy features the roomiest cabin in its segment and comes equipped with a redesigned center console, premium interior trims and a sportier steering wheel. A more efficient air conditioning system keeps the cabin comfortable for all passengers, and available eight-inch entertainment screen powers the latest Subaru Starlink multimedia system that has Bluetooth wireless capability, supports iPod integration as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A sportier and more elegant exterior has been achieved by wider, lower grille openings, high-contrast wheels, a distinctive wing and redesigned headlights. Two new exterior colors have been added to the lineup - magnetite gray metallic and crimson red pearl.
"We improved every part of the vehicle that the consumer touches," said Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications for Subaru. "This was much more than a typical refresh or redesign."
Pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
