Ram and Mopar Debut Customized Ram 1500 at Chicago Auto Show

The Ram Truck and Mopar brands unveiled a lineup of exciting outdoor-sport-themed modifications for the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 during the 2018 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview.

Showcasing Mopar’s extensive menu of products and finishes on the show floor was the 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport 4x4 in flame red. Featuring a two-inch Mopar lift kit, 35-inch tires, 18-inch, off-road wheels and cast aluminum running boards, the customized Ram truck is a lesson in capability and durability. An adjustable, all-purpose Mopar Ram Rack attached to the optional bed rail offers secure storage for hauling equipment and lifestyle gear.

Under the hood of the customized pickup, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine delivers 295 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. Inside, premium black leather seats with red embroidery and stitching, custom all-weather floor mats, and Mopar brushed aluminum door sill guards carry the Ram text logo.

According to Jim Morrison, head of Ram Brand, FCA North America, approximately 80,000 hours of customization went into the Dodge Ram.
“The benefit of Ram’s partnership with Mopar is our ability to customize vehicles as soon as they hit the market instead of waiting a year or two,” said Morrison. “Our breadth and range of customization is what sets us apart in the market.”

The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 can be customized with more than 200 available Mopar parts and accessories, many of which can be added before delivery through the Mopar Custom Shop. The 2019 Ram 1500 is expected to be available in March.
