FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHICAGO (Feb. 12, 2015) – Volkswagen announced Tanner Foust and Scott Speed are returning in 2015 to the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross Team. The team will compete this year with two Volkswagen Beetle GRC race cars.
Scott Speed returns after three victories in the 2014 and will run the Beetle GRC for the full 2015 schedule. Tanner Foust will again be racing the Rockstar Energy Drink Beetle GRC, which features all-wheel drive to handle the difficult tracks, 550 horsepower and a turbocharged racing engine. Foust’s vehicle is on display through the duration of the Chicago Auto Show.
“The last couple races we got to run our new, beautiful beetle and the results were amazing,” said Scott Speed. Volkswagen held an autograph session with Foust and Speed after the news conference. Attendees were challenged to beat Foust and Speed in an interactive video game driving the new cars.
