TOYOTA DEBUTS NEXT GENERATION TRD PRO SERIES AT 2018 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (Feb. 9, 2018) – Toyota unveiled its new off-road-ready package – the 2019 TRD Pro Series – on Thursday during the 2018 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview. The TRD Pro package, delivering more capability and off-road equipment than ever before, will be available on the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner.

The 2019 TRD Pro family boasts 2.5-inch TRD-exclusive Fox Internal Bypass shocks for impressive driving performance; specially-tuned TRD springs for enhanced comfort; and standard 16-inch black alloy wheels. The TRD Pro Series is available in three color options, including TRD Pro-exclusive Voodoo Blue.

“The TRD Pros you see here represent our flagship off-roaders,” said Jack Hollis, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division at Toyota Motor North America. “If you want to get off the pavement and go explore, grab one of these bad boys and go!”

For 2019, the Tacoma TRD Pro gets an updated front skid plate with TRD red lettering, a black chrome-accented TRD exhaust, black Toyota grille and projector-beam headlights with black sport bezels. Tundra TRD Pro boasts LED accent lights with a black treatment, new 18-inch forged-aluminum black wheels and Black Chrome exhaust tips. The Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, the company’s iconic sport utility vehicle, gets a sporty new roof rack, 17-inch matte black wheels and customized TRD elements throughout the interior.

Adventurers will find the TRD Pro Series in dealerships beginning fall of this year.
