SUBARU CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY BY UNVEILING SPECIAL EDITION MODELS AT 2018 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (Feb. 9, 2018) – Against the backdrop of the 110th Chicago Auto Show, Subaru celebrated its 50th anniversary in the U.S. with the reveal of limited-edition models for each vehicle in its 2018 lineup.

Leading the largest-ever reveal at a Chicago Auto Show, president of Subaru of America Thomas Doll spoke about Subaru’s vibrant 50-year history, which includes 10 consecutive years of sales growth, and the company’s charitable efforts achieved through its “Share the Love” program.

“Our company and our retailers have contributed over $115 million to both national and local charities,” said Doll. “As we celebrate our 50th year, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished. Of course, we also want to be known for turning 50 through our products, so we’re delighted to reveal the limited-edition models that will make up our 50th anniversary lineup.”

The special edition models will be produced in limited quantities; the company will manufacturer 1,050 each of the Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy and Outback vehicles, and a combined total of 1,050 across the WRX, STI, and BRZ models. All limited-edition vehicles will be based on a high-level trim and feature an all-new, exclusive Heritage Blue exterior color schedule, unique badging, interior and exterior accents, and distinctive wheels.

All 50th anniversary limited-edition vehicles are on sale now at retailers across the country.
