Last Chance to See the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Family Day Feb. 18
Final Day of the 2019 Show Features Family-Friendly Activities

CHICAGO (Feb. 18, 2019) – The Chicago Auto Show, the nation’s largest, is gearing up for its final day on Monday, Feb. 18, when show organizers will host Family Day. A host of activities are planned throughout the day, from musical performances to kid-friendly activities to car-seat safety demonstrations.

“The Chicago Auto Show serves as the perfect venue for people to experience the latest from the automotive industry, whether they’re in the market for a new vehicle or just looking for a fun day out with the family,” said Chicago Auto Show Chairman Ray Scarpelli Jr. “Presidents Day is a great chance for families to see the show since most children have the day off of school. This year’s show is not one to miss!”

In addition to the nearly 1,000 cars, trucks and SUVs on display, Family Day attendees will have access to interactive displays ranging from a Chevrolet LEGO-building station, augmented reality, driving simulators and even a puppy adoption, hosted by Turtle Wax and Volvo. Show-goers also have the chance to take a ride in four indoor test tracks including Camp Jeep, Kia Torque Track, Land Rover’s Above and Beyond Tour and Ram Truck Territory. Six outdoor ride-and-drive opportunities from Ford, Mazda, Subaru, Volkswagen, Volvo and the Clean Air Initiative, featuring green vehicles, also allow attendees to get behind the wheel to test-drive the latest models.

Throughout the day, family-centered programs from a variety of partners will take place on the event stage just outside of the North Hall ticket lobby, including:

  • Brookfield Zoo
  • Caricatures by Bruce
  • Chicago Dogs
  • Chicago White Sox
  • Chicago Wolves
  • Gameworks
  • Medieval Times
  • My Party Princess
  • Raging Waves Waterpark
  • Schaumburg Boomers
  • School of Rock
