FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HIGHLANDER MAKES APPEARANCE AT 2020 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (Feb. 3, 2020) – For the first time at the Chicago Auto Show, visitors will experience the all-new 2020 Highlander, along with Toyota's full vehicle lineup of cars, trucks and SUVs. Guests will also experience the new RAV4 Prime and concept vehicles, including the GR Supra Heritage Edition, GR Supra Hyperboost Edition. Guests to the 44,980 square-foot display can take part in technology demonstrations, a ride experience in Toyota vehicles and special guest appearances. The Chicago Auto Show takes place Feb. 8-17 at McCormick Place.

For more information on Toyota's new variants to the portfolio, fans can join the Toyota Press Conference Thursday, Feb. 6, at 10:30 a.m. CST during the 2020 Chicago Auto Show here: https://livestream.com/Toyota/CAS2020

Now in its fourth generation, the all-new Toyota Highlander will be on display and bring a new level of bold, distinctive design to an SUV foundation built on safety, comfort, quality, durability and reliability set by predecessors. The 2020 Highlander's new sophisticated look covers a new vehicle platform called Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K). This robust new foundation, shared with other Toyota models, enables even greater capability, comfort and safety than before.

The 2020 Highlander offers the choice between a powerful V6 or new-generation hybrid powertrain, with the gas version offering a manufacturer-estimated 24 MPG combined fuel economy and the Hybrid offering a class-leading manufacturer-estimated 36 MPG combined fuel economy.

The GR Supra Heritage Edition concept and GR Supra Hyperboost Edition concept made their debut at the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and are now igniting excitement in Chicago. The GR Supra Edition blends elements of the MKIV Supra from the late-90s with the new 2020 GR Supra, paying tribute to the Supra's heritage. The GR Supra HyperBoost Edition is NASCAR analyst and broadcast personality, Rutledge Wood's dream build and features a custom turbo kit that more than doubles the output to 750-plus horsepower. A 20-piece carbon-fiber wide-body kit gives this hyper-boosted machine more aggressive body lines with broad shoulders and a menacing stance.

The 2021 RAV4 Prime, arriving in summer 2020, is the first-ever RAV4 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). It can do 0-60 in 5.8 seconds, which is the second quickest acceleration time in the Toyota lineup, and can drive an estimated 39 miles on battery alone on a single charge, the highest EV range of any PHEV SUV on the market.

Technology demonstrations include a Supra Driving Simulator that lets guests experience the performance and exhilaration of the Supra; a SiriusXM listening station; a Team Toyota photo booth to support athletes as they prepare for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games and Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 virtual reality experience.

Guests can explore the newest Toyota vehicles at the Toyota Drive Experience alongside a professional driver. Attendees will experience fuel efficiency, vehicle handling, advanced safety and the quality, reliability and durability of several Toyota vehicles, including the 2020 Highlander, Camry TRD, Corolla and RAV4. Drives will take place during public days Feb. 8-17 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Toyota Drive Experience will be closed for a private event Tuesday, February 11 from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. and will close at 8 p.m. Feb. 17. The Toyota Drive Experience takes place next to Toyota's main display in the South Hall.

Throughout the week special guests will be visiting the Toyota Live stage for presentations and giveaways.
