FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2018 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW HOSTS 6TH ANNUAL FAMILY DAY: FEB. 19

CHICAGO (Feb. 16, 2018) – Chicago Auto Show organizers are wrapping the 110th edition of the show with the return of Family Day on Monday, Feb. 19. Hosted on Presidents Day, when many students are off school due to the holiday, Family Day at the Chicago Auto Show features a full lineup of programs and events suited for families and kids of all ages.

Family Day has become a staple at the Chicago Auto Show. Nearly 40 automakers and exhibitors showcase fun, creative and hands-on programs geared toward children and families. In addition to nearly 1,000 cars, trucks and SUVs, as well as a substantial collection of luxury supercars, Family Day attendees will have access to the interactive exhibits and ride-and-drive experiences for which the Chicago Auto Show is known.

Sports enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Wolves, who will feature exciting activities and giveaways for even the youngest fans. Visitors will have the chance to try on official Wolves player gear, pose for pictures with Wolves mascot, Skates, and even take their best shots on goal. The White Sox will encourage attendees to try their hand at the prize wheel for a chance to win jerseys, hats and T-shirts.

Other family-centered programs and activities will be hosted by:

  • Illinois State Police
  • IKEA
  • Laugh Out Loud Theater
  • Trickster Gallery
  • Sports Clips
  • My Party Princess
  • Raging Waves Waterparks
  • MasterMind Escape Games

“The Chicago Auto Show’s exhibitors work hard to create a family-friendly experience each and every day; however, Family Day features a special lineup of events,” said John Hennessy, chairman of the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. “There’s no better way to close out the 2018 Chicago Auto Show.”
