Emir Abinion of Fox Valley Auto Group Elected to Chicago Automobile Trade Association Board of Directors
CHICAGO (July 7, 2022) - Emir Abinion, owner of Fox Valley Volkswagen and Fox Valley Buick GMC, was recently elected to the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) board of directors.
“I am both honored and humbled to be elected by my peers to serve our association and subsequently our customers in maintaining the principles and mission of the CATA,” said Abinion. “The CATA has always been the catalyst to strengthen, improve business operations, maintain fair competition, and promote integrity for dealers in the Chicagoland area. I look forward to serving.”
Abinion is a member of an NADA 20 Group for Buick GMC and an NCM 20 Group for Volkswagen. Most recently he was a member of the National Dealer Advisory Council for Volkswagen and National Dealer Product Committee for Volkswagen.
Born in Manila, Philippines, and currently a resident of Saint Charles, Illinois, Abinion is an alumnus of Lane Technical High School and North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. He began working in the auto industry in 1985 and became president of Fox Valley Auto Group in 2006.
He is actively involved in his community supporting organizations including the Chris Community Church in Saint Charles, Naomi’s House, Cal’s Angels, Lazarus House and CASA of Kane County.
