FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ELMWOOD PARK RESIDENT WINS THE 2016 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW VEHICLE SWEEPSTAKES, DRIVES AWAY IN A BRAND NEW BUICK ENCORE

CHICAGO (March 8, 2016) - Chicago Auto Show organizers today announced the winner of the 2016 Chicago Auto Show Vehicle Sweepstakes. Marylee Bekielewski, of Elmwood Park, Ill., is the new owner of a 2016 Buick Encore that was delivered to her last evening at D'Arcy Buick GMC in Joliet, Ill.

This was the culmination of the two-month campaign that encouraged Chicago Auto Show fans to download the official mobile app. By downloading the app and registering, people were automatically entered to win the Buick Encore. Show-goers were also given the chance to win the vehicle by casting their vote in the 2016 Chicago Auto Show Best of Show contest.

"To heighten awareness of the official Chicago Auto Show mobile app and encourage Best of Show voting onsite, we decided to offer a compelling incentive to fans - and what's better than a brand new car?" said Chicago Auto Show Chairman Colin Wickstrom. "We're always looking for new and exciting ways to engage fans while at the show. The more attendees utilized the app at the event, the more chances they had to win the Encore."

Bekielewski is still in shock that she won the vehicle. "We had two unreliable cars and, due to me living so far from my family, it's been scary not knowing if the car was going to make it or not. I can't begin to describe how much this car means to me and my husband."

In total, more than 34,000 sweepstakes entries were received. The prize has an MSRP of more than $25,000 and was provided by the Chicago Auto Show and Chicagoland Buick GMC Dealers. To learn more about the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, visit www.chicagoautoshow.com.
