FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chicago Automobile Trade Association Brings Back Industry Parnters for its 2023 Chicago Drives Electric Test Drive Event
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (Sept. 14, 2023) – The Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), the area’s new-car dealer association and producer of the Chicago Auto Show, is proud to announce the sponsors of its second-annual Chicago Drives Electric event to be held Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2023.
Sponsors of the event will be speaking on panel sessions, enjoy social media integration and activate onsite to showcase their knowledge and position in the industry. The sponsor lineup includes:
-
Cars.com – A longtime supporter of the Chicago Auto Show, Cars.com is also a premier sponsor of Chicago Drives Electric and will have senior subject matter experts involved in presentations to both the media and CATA dealers discussing current consumer trends and shopping experiences related to EV purchases. Cars.com experts will also be on-site during the event to discuss various EV options and things to consider when purchasing an EV.
-
Charge Enterprises – Charge Enterprises is a returning sponsor to Chicago Drives electric that will provide insights on key topics that are trending in the EV industry right now. Executives from Charge Enterprises will present to CATA new-car dealers discussing the complexities of different EV charging solutions, tax incentives, dealership infrastructure preparation and more.
-
ComEd – ComEd once again returns to Chicago Drives Electric as a sponsor and expert on providing power to your EV. ComEd’s senior leadership will participate in a panel discussion to media on Sept. 28 along with ComEd representatives on-hand throughout consumer days. Last year ComEd launched its EV Toolkit in conjunction with Chicago Drives Electric which is the host to a plethora of resources and tools to help you in your EV exploration journey.
-
Powering Chicago – A returning premier sponsor of the Chicago Auto Show and Chicago Drives Electric, Powering Chicago will once again be actively engaged with the event. Representing unionized electricians in the Chicagoland area, Powering Chicago brings an interactive display to the event with their 73-foot semi-trailer. Participants can engage with the Powering Chicago representatives to walk through the exhibit and learn about home charging installation, electricity usage and more. Powering Chicago leaders will also serve as panelists for the educational sessions.
New this year, Chicago Drives Electric is firing up the grills for attendees thanks to a partnership with Weber. Weber, known globally for leadership in outdoor cooking, technology and products, has a line of all-electric grills which means you can plug in to your EV and take the cookout with you wherever you go! Weber will be demonstrating the new technology on EVs at Chicago Drives Electric and providing fresh-grilled food for attendees.
“We are thrilled to welcome back our returning Chicago Drives Electric partners as well as bring a new sponsor into this year’s growing event,” said Jim OBrill, CATA marketing director. “It’s crucial that we bring in a variety of partners to help consumers in their EV journey. From exploring if an EV is right for you, to answering ‘range anxiety’ questions, to evaluating if your home is equipped for charging installation, we have engaged our partners to bring the answers and resources consumers are looking for.”
