LAST CHANCE TO SEE THE 2023 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW, FAMILY DAY, FEB. 20

CHICAGO (Feb. 18, 2023) - The Chicago Auto Show is proud to partner with the Daily Herald to present Family Day, on its final day Monday, Feb. 20. A host of activities are planned throughout the day, from musical performances to kid-friendly events.

Activities at Family Day this year are sponsored by Topgolf, Game Show Gurus, Beyond Gaming, the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team, Trickster Cultural Center, the Schaumburg Park District, Opera in Focus, Forest Preserves of Cook County, My Party Princess and more.

Featured in the Family Day area adjacent to the North Hall Ticket Lobby, Elk Grove Village will be showcasing the “Makers Wanted” No. 6 Ford Mustang, which NASCAR Cup Series Champion Brad Keselowski will drive in the NASCAR Chicago Street Race this summer. The Village-sponsored race car will be on the Family Day floor for photo opportunities throughout the event.

“There are so many exciting venues and attractions in the Chicago Northwest region, and we’re thrilled to have the Chicago Auto Show platform to promote them,” says Meet Chicago Northwest president Heather Larson, CMP. “Families will find a great variety of free, fun activities to take part in on Monday, Feb. 20 at McCormick Place.”

“Presidents Day is a perfect chance for families to come out to experience the nation’s largest auto show, as many kids have the day off of school for the holiday,” said Kevin Keefe, Chicago Auto Show chairman. “There’s a little bit for everyone including playing Mario Kart in the new Toyota Grand Highlander, or live RC car racing at Volkswagen, in addition to many other fun activities across the show.”

Show-goers also have the chance to take a ride at one of the show’s seven indoor test tracks—more than ever before—including Chicago Drives Electric, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep, Ram, Toyota. Jump behind the wheel in the latest models offered from Ford, Kia, Subaru and Volkswagen in four outdoor ride-and-drive opportunities.

The 2023 Chicago Auto Show is open Monday, February 20, for its final day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
