HISPANIC HERITAGE DAY RETURNS FEB. 16 AT THE 2018 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW
CHICAGO (Feb. 15, 2018) – The Chicago Auto Show, in partnership with Telemundo, is gearing up for its annual Hispanic Heritage Day on Friday Feb. 16. Now in its eleventh year, Hispanic Heritage Day honors and celebrates the Latino history and culture with a full-day lineup of special events and programs throughout the show.
“We’re fortunate to continue our partnership with Telemundo, which enables us to provide a fun and interactive experience for our Spanish-speaking fans,” said John Hennessy, chairman of the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. “This year’s lineup features great music and cultural performances that the whole family will enjoy.”
In addition to showcasing nearly 1,000 vehicles, automakers and exhibitors across the show floor will deliver a host of fun, unique experiences for automotive fans of all ages. Telemundo will also feature several events for fans of all ages in their booth in the lobby of the North Hall. Event highlights include:

12-2 p.m. DJ “LALOKERA”

2 p.m. Zumba Dance; dancers move fast and have fun while exercising

3 p.m. Flamenco Dancers; includes singing, guitar playing, dancing and vocalizations

3-6 p.m. Pictures and autographs with Carlos Hermosillo, former Mexican soccer player

4 p.m. Marimba; a percussion instrument performance

5 p.m. Tango dancing

6 p.m. Mariachi band

7 p.m. Ballet folklorico dancers
Telemundo will be cutting to live shots of attendees on the show floor during Hispanic Heritage Day as well as broadcasting on Facebook Live throughout the event. Fans can get into the action by following the Chicago Auto Show and Telemundo on social media.
