Another concept based on the Neon was the radical Aviat creation. Outrigger-style rear-quarter fenders were designed to cool the engine and house the rear-wheels. Much of the shape of Aviat was generated in a computer, to redefine the basic vehicle shape for the best coefficient of drag. The engine was a DOHC 16-valve 2.0 liter inline four-cylinder, which produced 145 horsepower. Even though the engine was front-mounted, the cooling system was moved to the rear,
