FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHICAGO AUTOMOBILE TRADE ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES KEY INDUSTRY PARTNERS FOR CHICAGO DRIVES ELECTRIC, AN EV TEST DRIVE AND EDUCATIONAL EVENT

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (Sept. 15, 2022) – The Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), the area’s new-car dealer association and producer of the Chicago Auto Show, is proud to announce the sponsors of its first-ever Chicago Drives Electric event to be held Sept. 29 – Oct. 2, 2022.

Sponsors of the event will be speaking on panel sessions, enjoy social media integration and activate onsite to showcase their knowledge and position in the industry. The sponsor lineup includes:

  • Cars.com – A longtime supporter of the Chicago Auto Show, Cars.com is also a premier sponsor of Chicago Drives Electric and will have senior subject matter experts involved in presentations to both the media and CATA dealers discussing current consumer trends and shopping experiences related to EV purchases. Cars.com also provides an abundance of consumer-oriented EV information on its website aggregated by local journalists.
  • Charge Enterprises – Charge Enterprises is a new premier sponsor that will provide insights on a key topic many are curious about, which is how to charge EVs. Executives from Charge Enterprises will sit on education panels discussing the complexities of different EV charging solutions. Charge Enterprises will also be on-hand during the consumer days to answer questions and support consumers in their EV knowledge journey.
  • ComEd – ComEd is a new sponsor and neighbor to the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and will be providing charging locations for all the participating vehicles. ComEd’s Senior Vice President Customer Operations & Chief Customer Officer Melissa Washington will participate on a panel discussion on Sept. 29 while ComEd representatives will be on-hand throughout consumer days.
  • Powering Chicago – A premier sponsor of the 2021 Chicago Auto Show, Powering Chicago signed on as a premier sponsor for Chicago Drives Electric. Representing unionized electricians in the Chicagoland area, Powering Chicago brings an interactive display to the event with their 73-foot semi-trailer. Participants can engage with the Powering Chicago representatives to walk through the exhibit and learn about home charging installation, electricity usage and more. Powering Chicago leaders will also serve as panelists for the educational sessions.

“As we designed this event, we knew that engaging a wide range of partners would be crucial to providing value to our attendees,” said Jim OBrill, CATA marketing and sponsorship director. “The multi-faceted EV industry is quickly growing and evolving which is why bringing in this dynamic group of sponsors is important to understand the full landscape. This event wouldn’t be possible without them.”

Chicago Drives Electric also welcomes PLEMCo and Solar One as supporting sponsors who will also be participating in the event offering diverse perspectives, skills and advice to dealers.
