CHICAGO AUTO SHOW INTRODUCES FIRST RESPONDERS AND MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY ON FEB. 15
This February, Chicago Auto Show organizers will host a First Responders and Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Feb. 15. On this day, all first responders (police officers, EMTs, paramedics and firefighters) and U.S. Military (veterans or active duty) receive a complimentary admission when they present their badge or military ID for complimentary. Moreover, guests who accompany first responders or military personnel will receive a voucher for $5 off an adult admission.
"Our intent with introducing this new First Responders and Military Appreciation Day is to showcase our deep appreciation and gratitude for the people who put themselves on the frontlines as they carry out these critical roles in our society and world," said Chicago Auto Show Chairman Bill Haggerty. "In the midst of a global pandemic, and always, we want to send an important message to the men and women who keep us all safe, even if it means putting their own lives at risk. We hope they can escape to the Chicago Auto Show for a few hours - or the entire day! - and experience an enjoyable day out with family or friends."
First responders and military personnel who attend on. Feb. 15 should visit the Grand Concourse Ticket Lobby to check in, show their badge or ID and pick up a voucher for $5 off the general admission for any family and friends who join them.
The 2022 Chicago Auto Show will feature five indoor test tracks from manufacturers including Ford, Jeep, Ram Toyota as well as an EV track where attendees can experience and learn about the latest electric vehicles. In addition, outdoor test drive opportunities will be offered by Ford, Kia and Subaru for plenty of chances for consumers to get behind the wheel.
"We're thrilled to provide 10 days of back-to-back entertainment to fans who look forward to this event each year, and we're exceptionally proud to offer free admission to first responders and military personnel as a small gesture of 'thanks,'" said Chicago Auto Show General Manager Dave Sloan.
